Consulting Print E-mail

Often, the consulting approach is project based with a specific agreed scope and the associated deliverables.  Consultants are hired to help because they have the knowledge, expertise, tenacity, and very importantly, the objectivity to make an unbiased proposition; and the audacity to speak out as they lend the 3rd party eyes.  They have a mandate to deliver the agreed deliverables, but are not politically involved, and therefore are able to get things done.

The best way to get the most out of the consulting approach is to have one’s own company staffs to work along-side the consultants.  By doing so -- there is transfer of knowledge, and the staffs, with trained eyes and the acquired skills, can take ownership and function effectively.

Consultants are external resources best used to:

  • Help companies troubleshoot
  • Provide workable comprehensive solutions to address short term problems
  • Work with management and staffs to establish a viable medium to long term framework that is aligned with the companies’ goals and strategies
  • Support companies’ continuous development and evolution
